Privacy

How a hard scan is answered.
The privacy policy now matches the app. Your phone still reads the room first, and Briskly still never receives the photo.
- iOS 26. No cloud path. Every scan stays on the phone.
- iOS 27. If Photo Preferences leaves "Better scans with Apple's cloud" on, a scan the phone cannot read is sent to Apple's Private Cloud Compute so Apple can answer it. Apple does not keep the photo. Turn the switch off and it stays on the phone.
- Before and after photos stay in app-private storage, excluded from backups. They are not part of that Apple step.
The full wording is on the privacy policy.
Version 1.0
2 August 2026
The first one.
Briskly arrives on the App Store for iPhone and Apple Watch. Everything below is in this release.
The core loop
- On-device room scan. Point the camera at a room and get a task list built from what is actually there, using Apple's Vision framework on the phone. Nothing is uploaded.
- Timed micro-tasks. Each task carries its own countdown, kept short on purpose.
- Before and after photos. Take one at the start and one at the end, then swipe between them. They stay on your device.
Keeping you going
- Lock Screen Live Activity. The current task and its countdown sit on your Lock Screen, so you are not holding the phone.
- Apple Watch app. Skip, pause and check from your wrist when your hands are full.
- Spotify and Apple Music. A fresh track every time you move to the next task.
- Streaks and levels. Small wins marked, without any guilt for breaking a run.
- Scheduled cleans. Save a clean, pick a time, get a notification when it is due.
What is deliberately absent
- No account. No email, no login, no sign-up.
- No cloud AI in this release. Scanning ran on the device. The November 2026 note above is the current rule for a scan the phone cannot read.
- No ads. No ad identifiers and no tracking prompt.
What is next
Briskly is built by one person, so the honest answer is that the roadmap follows what people actually ask for rather than a fixed schedule. This page gets a new entry each time something ships, so it is the reliable place to check whether the app is still moving.
If there is something you want, write in. Requests from real users are what decide the order.
